This is my Mum. She just finished her first pencil!

What started as a nice but if purpleheart turned into a tricky bit with a nasty grain change in the middle, but she did really well!

She has only turned a few times before, just when she is down visiting us. Quite proud of her!

That is a damn good effort Alan, and really good to see that your Mum enjoys the art of pen making .. I can see why you are so proud my friend, plus your Mum has a lovely smile .. :thumbs:

Good job! :thumbs: I've got my dad interested in turning. He made a pen last time he came up. Time with parents is precious. This is probably the best picture I've seen on here all year

Good on you Alans Mum well thought out and made my Mum was born in 08 had a feeling she would love to have been a carpenter Mums are to be treasured.
