Pay special attention to the ends of your pens, the middle bits can't really be seen when undersized as theres nothing to compare to but the ends usually stand out a lot more if they are smaller, nice wood though, walnut?

A nice curve on your lurning curve!

You cant expect perfection on your first few pens Roy, do you ever achieve perfection? I think you have made an exceptional start mate, well done.

Good attempt, agree it looks a little lopsided, just a thought, were you using the correct size bushings as it appears to be off centre.

You show that to Joe public and he will be so pleased with it he won't believe you made it yourself.
You are being critical of yourself as we all are, well except me I just don't care cos I don't matter init?
Now get on with the next one and just enjoy doing them, chill out it can always be stripped down and remade init?

I use two calipers and check the ends and centres every pen mate helps remind me the first pen I made my mate ran the pen through his fingers and scorned me then said he always slightly arises the join at each end slightly Jim goes the whole bit at the centres and it looks great as well. I like your pens.

Don't let it get you down, you know the rule:- 'Practice Makes Perfect', I suppose eventually. I'll let you know when I get there.:lmao:
