Andy it would take me half of that time to wire the lamp holder and lead then the plug. Presuming it is two core flex using a brass lampholder over your way is it law that that lampholder has to be earthed or not and do you have to use a device to prevent stress on the lead as it enters the base in other words what is the legal requirement for wiring lamps in the UK I do remember Woody saying he quit making with all the fuss.

I love the lamp in every way mate it is outstanding IMHO.

The flex is 3 core, so is earthed and there is a black plastic cord clamp fitted in the underside of the base, and its only going to be a one off so not got any intention of selling it to anyone, but i am aware of the laws of getting it stress tested if i was to sell. :thumbs:
