I think the chrome looks better on these pens but still like the gold very much.

the younger generation seem to go for chrome
Funny you say Sir Woody, I recently made three slimlines from their granddads old walking stick for some family friends.
one in chrome one in gold the other in copper and told them it was rose gold purposely so they would not argue over whose was which.
They argued so much I had to take two back and replace them with gold, they didn't want the copper or chrome.
Different strokes init?

I like both I have no leanings except practical thoughts with coatings then personal preferences kick in always unpredictable. Watched at a Fair not long ago woman selecting from a mate of mines pens with so many truly beautiful pens to choose bfrom it takes forever to separate and purchase. Sometimes I think too many at a time to select from can be a set back.

Both of your pens deserve admiration the material used is or can be a mongrel, your pens are well designed pros and cons up to us with shape I could live happily with Chrome or Gold. Recently making a pen with my mates 15 yr old daughter I learned another lesson she was not very tall but her hand was bigger than mine so I must always look at hand size as there in lies an answer to shape and pen needs.
By the way the clutching of kids using pens makes it hard just what to make for them.

Thanks for showing.

Peter.
