A Mahogany box made with some of the wood I won at the York auction completely impractical but I love it and enjoyed figuring out how to make it and making it, it is made up of 7 parts 10" tall 5 1/2" wide with a polish finish enjoy

To be honest I hate turning Mahogany bloody orrible stuff it gets every were

Nice one woody great looking piece like the shape some things are decorative as well as useful


Do I spy a cheat in that you did the flat top separate to the bowl section:funny::funny::funny:

Yes Derek but I haven't tried to hide it I was going to make the join on the side with a bead to hide the joint I could have done a slightly raised edge to hide it but no I like it this way with no decoration

It must just be me. I'm not keen on it :down:
I like the box, the lid and the finial, but I don't think the stand goes with it :goesred:

Maybe I'm ill cos I usually like Woody's work :thinks:

It's a great piece mate. 7 elements very well put together. And I like the concept too. :thumbs: I do agree that Mahogany is orrible to turn, bloody dust everywhere :funny:
