Finally had enough money to buy a new lathe
The last one was a Coronet Major in 1977!
Anyone remember them? Very well made but not fantastic lathes
They were really combination machines
So I decided on a Jet 1221VS and what a fantastic lathe
A real joy to use. Quite, confident and powerful
Very well built and finished
I am going to keep the coronet for drilling and facing off blanks

I hope I've managed to attach a photo
My first attempt

And a fine addition it is too. I've been eying one of those up for a while myself - I may have to phone you for a bit of feedback.
