These were delivered today they are a 7mm kit and the quality is excellent with quite substantial fittings it is the concave pen from Vinny at the turners workshop I have turned these two as per instructions the only thing different to the slimline apart from the shape is you have to press the mechagnisam in quite a long way with only 13/16" sticking out I'm not to sure about the designe so I will be going back out after my tea and make one without the concave enjoy Concava Pen Kit Range - Pen Kits - Shop
This one has a 13mm centre on the concave

Saw them on the site, and was put off by the concave bit, so would be very interested to hear how it goes without it!

Of course, being from your fine hand Woody, it will be nothing short of fantastic!!!:banana::banana:

I think I like them Woody, I'll have to give them a go before making up my mind though. You've certainly made a good job of them.

How about a straight top and a straight bottom, just turning in for the nib?

Much better without it

I agree Ed I'm going to strip the other two down but if you dont try you never know :rolling: mind it may be a struggle because of the depth you have to put the mechanism in twice as far as usual

I like them both woody.
Wish I'd seen them when I was in last week as would have bought a couple (as if I hadn't spent enough already:whistling:)

Hey woody

For what it's worth I like the concave, I think it works better on the lighter wood too.
