Sanding sealer, Mylands Friction Polish and Liberon clear paste wax.

First time I've shaped caps on Barons and I'm not sure so opinions welcomed.

Very nicely turned and finished 2 very nice pens there myself personally always do my pens without any shaping except for pens like the sierra and slimline pens but that's just me a lot of turners prefer to add some shape to there pens it is all down to personal preference or what the customer wants

Nothing wrong with the shape Phill, you must have seen something that you liked similar to what you have turned here, it is a shape that you like and that is all that counts .. But it is good that everyone has their opinion on what shape that they prefer ..

You've got a lovely pair there. The shaping of the caps isn't extreme so they are still lovely.

Phil,

Great pens, nice to see the shape of the tops, gets my vote every time. Adds interest in that the shape flows with the slope on the cap and also allows the shaping to accentuate the grain.

Or the Ian Banana scale - Its gone, no bananas  Wot no Bananas? Would have been five bananas but someones nickes all the bananas?
