Turning slimlines are no more difficult than any others. I find very light cuts with very shape gouges are the answer. Practice also helps, the more you do the better outcome.

I have to disagree slightly with Kelvin, yes due to their thinness they can be very brittle, the small diameter can mean they spin a little quicker and to do a slimline well takes more skill than say an Omega or a one body kit like a Sierra....
I agree, sharp tools and light cuts will win out....I often say if you can turn a good slimline you can turn anything
I agree with Mark @flexi
By the time you have turned to the bushes it looks like the wood left has just been painted on.....I much prefer the Streamline to the Slimline.....more meat on the bone.
