Went out in my workshop to start making shattertools but an idea I had in my head got the better of me so I got sidetracked and had a little play and ended up making this sappely box with an African blackwood finial box 75mm x 50mm finial 75mm from 10mm down to 1mm thick I have done a bit of decoration top and bottom with my home made chattertool

That is bloody lovely Woody, would take me ages to do anything like thatlove the chatter work on the top, do you still find it easy to finish with the texture applied?
Yes I use sanding sealer then rub in paste wax let it dry and buff with a shoe brush
