Nice pen Peter I to have one somewere in my collection that is quite old from the days when you could get them in packs of ten as cheap as chips

I've not seen Snakewood in the flesh though from your picture it looks slightly reminiscent of figured London plane.

You are lucky to have your shells produce pens, in the UK we only get pearls.
