Dear Bill

I wanted to write to acknowledge the recent cheque that you sent to us in the sum of £693, again a very generous donation to Blind Veterans UK.

The money will be gratefully received and placed into a ‘pot’ where this will go towards funding projects in and around the Llandudno Centre for purchasing items for our members use.

Can I please ask that you extend my thanks to your friends who have helped to raise these funds especially Neil Lawton, Mark Tassel, and Dan Smith. Your continuing enthusiasm and support towards the Charity is truly amazing.

On a personal note, I understand that you have received not good news in relation to treatment for your eyes, which I am sure can’t be easy for you, and if there is anything that we can do to assist in anyway, then please don’t hesitate to ask.

I very much look forward to welcoming both you and Evelyn back to the Centre in the not too distant future.

In the meantime, please stay safe and well.

Kindest regards

Kathy Boardman
Centre Manager

Bill old friend, having been to Blind Veterans at Llandudno to meet yourself and Woody on three occasions I know first hand the great work that is done there. Your dedication to helping others even with your failing eyesight is more than commendable. I salute you sir.
If you’re going later this year let me know and if health permits I’ll get across to have a natter with you.
