I have been a few days turning this 'bowl', it is yew i believe and very hard, i must have sharpened the gouge at least eight times during the process.
I was really awkward the the side of the bowl flattening out to the base, it was also pretty hairy as well. I suppose it's not a real bowl as it will only hold paper anything would roll out.
Why do all my pictures taken in portrait on my phone come out sideways, if i take them landscape they get turned to portrait which sill leaves the sideways???

A little difficult to see as the photo's are a little blurred this is another problem with some camera phone.

Over all you have done a good job but have let yourself down on the inside where the side changes to the bottom I can see what appears to be tool marks. Because of the shape you have quite a sharp angle change which is where this problem occurs most if you have a more of a flowing curve from the rim to the bottom this will help eliminate this problem the second is to have a sharper angle on the tool or even take a little off of the heal as it is here that prevent you from being able to get around a tighter curve.

You have also found the joys of turning dry Yew in that you have to making trips to the grinder but it is always worth it in my eyes

Your right about the tool marks, it was getting pretty hairy for me even to sand them out.
I will take some more pictures with a proper camera tomorrow
