Acouple of other things I've made

Here are a couple of other things I've made recently.

The first is a "drop spindle" for spinning fleece into wool



The second is a Viking Re-enactment shied. My old one had just about fallen to pieces

Ohhh no it won't Woody. If you go into battle with a nice new shield EVERYONE aims for you. So it got scuffed up a bit first lol

No Neil, I bought the boss like that and I'm sure it will get a few dents over the next few months :wink:

Well sort of ....... it is rawhide (from dog chews)

Believe it or not Billy, I've never weighed it
That is something I will have to do when I get home from work

Both drop spindle and shield very nicely made, I have seen a drop spindle being used.
