Hi Once again, Firstly Sorry about the Door Mat Photo, but when your wife is into Card Making and other craft items (Painting Tiles) you have to use what space is available. As For the Pen on the Left it was a Commissioned Pen that someone at work asked for, I took a load of Blanks to show him and he caught sight of the Turners Retreat Catalogue and wanted a Barron Pen Kit, However when I turned the Pen it went almost see-through so what you are seeing is the Brass Tube showing through, realised I should have Painted the tubes (But What Colour?), needless to say he didn't like the finished pen and ended up buying the Barron Pen next to it so I have a pen ready for the next Craft Fair.
(Photo Taken with and without Flash, personally I like the way the pen turned out)

I remember doing exactly the same with the same blank Phil, luckily the lady still liked it and walked away happy .. I did learn from it, blanks similar always get painted first ..

Made the same mistake Phil. It doesn't detract from the pen & the others being very nicely turned & finished.

I turn a lot of transparent acrylic between centers before I anchor the tube.
This way I can experiment with what color of tube works before CA'd into place.
Works great for me.
