I've been asked to make a pen for a friend ... He wants it quiet chunky as his hands get sore when he writes a lot ... I said the oversized pen kit but he still wants it to look good ... any ideas welcome

How about the Cigar pen? Quite a few different plating and it's definitely a big 'un without looking bloated:thumbs:

Hi, David,

There's one thing with some of the above suggestions - when in use the larger pens cannot be capped. In other words, when you unscrew the cap to use the pen you cannot screw the cap onto the other end. This means that the cap will have to be held or placed on the table. In turn, this means that if you put the pen down it has NO clip attached, and therefore the pen may roll off and drop on the floor!!! Best check with your mate re what type of pen he wants.

Bob.

I would go with Woody on the Chairmans pen, its a large but not ugly pen but not postable as Bob says.

Thanks for the advice ... think its going to be the cigar or ultra cigar ... my pref is the lrg gent or chairman but the grip part is still quite slim while the cigar gives the larger grip which he's looking for ... once again thanks for the advice

The follow up is what the person chooses and why the reason some of us have SUV,s and some mini vehicles one time we had a bloke here who is 7 feet six inches tall he had to take with him a platform thing to extend beds at home he drove a VW took the front drivers seat out sat in the back seat to drive. When he finished two years in Australia got paid a million and a half to sign up for professional basketball married a girl just less than five feet tall.It was quite an experience watching this guy stand up in a mall after eating.

Adapting to the needs of others there is always a way.

My personal choice would be the same as Woody for a big pen .. Looking a Derek's cigar pen it sure does look much better than a few years ago .. :thinks:
