Excellent craftsmanship Alan. I agree with Peter that matching the lower blank taper would typically be visually proper, but then the maple spacers between the inlays would have a resulting bulge (thinner at the ends, thicker in the middle). For this type of segmenting, I actually would have made the lower barrel match the upper - a more straight profile.
