What if anything do you use after sanding to clean the pan before ca (wood) . Normally i dont use anything but i found on a couple of recent dark blanks that had some inclusions which filled with dust and kind of spoiled the finish

Meths or denatured alcohol is generally used (I think they are both the same thing) I use isopropenyl (but only because I have gallons of the stuff), I know some guys just wipe with a cloth & some use compressed air.

If using ca, white spirit keeps it liquid longer, meths dries it quicker, instant in some cases. Water acts as an accelerate and clouds it.
A pure bristled brush works for me.
