I’m ex army with combat related injuries after three tours of Afghanistan. My therapists told me to get a hobby, so I did. I’ve been turning pens for a few years now. I get most of my blanks and kits direct from the US. I’m just about ready to submit my first order to a blank supplier in Taiwan. I’m hesitating as I’ve never dealt with them before. Anybody dealt with a company called “main mold?” All the best and stay safe everyone.

Hi Gmam,

Welcome to the forums.

I am ex Army also and seen conflicts elsewhere, fortunately I had no physical injuries when I left, it has all caught up with me these days and I am under lots of therapies as well. My best wishes go out to you as I have a very good idea of some of the struggles (mentally) you are going through.

As for your question I can not help you sorry to say, I just wanted to say hello,

Take care
Gary

Welcome.
There are a good number of excellent pen kit and blank suppliers in the UK, which would be cheaper than purchasing from US and safer than dealing with companies that you are unsure of.
Anyway, to each his own.

Hi Gman and welcome to the forum. As its been said before, I would purchase only from the UK as custom dutys and delays may be a problem to you.
Keep safe, Regards,
Kelvin

Hi and welcome, I have yet to purchase anything from Taiwan, but do most other places, including the US, it just depends on what your after. Another option might be and I say might is to ask someone who imports from that way to add to an order?? Davee Gee at Penkitz and Bitz is a cracking guy to deal with and may be able to help you out. I know he imports a lot of kits from China and his prices are VERY competitive. :thinks::thinks:
