All day tea light

Yes you read the title right it took me all day to turn a simple Bl***y tea light. The wood was hard and did not want to cut cleanly it did not matter how many times I ground the tools. Then could not get a decent finish on it. I would not mind but it is only a piece of oak, but it was not going to beat me I got there in the end. The next piece of oak I put on the lathe was for a bowl the outside looks great and only took 20 minutes to get it how I wanted still need to turn the inside will post pictures when finished.

The only thing you need to do now is see if the tea light lasts all day..:devil:

Really nice shape, style and finish looks good.

In case you didn't know, you sure do now, Oak can be a real pig and differ so much from one piece to another.
Good job turned from it in the end.

Thanks guys the only problem is the other half of this piece is going to be a matching one to make a pair:sob: Just hope it goes a bit easier but I can't see it somehow
