Busy day today. Seven pens to do today so rather than finish one then sand and polish and assemble one by one. I decided to complete all the shaping on the lathe for all seven then I was only able to complete four sand, polish and assemble four and decided to call it a night.
So all I have to do tomorrow is to sand , polish and assemble three more and that leaves me with three European pens that I hate doing and still have five left after that, then no more as I really hate them, just one mistake on that tenon and it's curtains. So just have to sell a few on Saturday and replenish as I haven't got any Beaufort kits at all at present. I do have a couple of fountain pens but looking at the parts I will have to look at the instructions again.....

Well done mate, very nice selection...you might want to add some wood offerings too, customers always want what you don't have!:duh:

I only started using acrylic about a year ago. I had some blanks from Axminster which where 15mm sqare and was a bit dubious at first. All pens before that are wood in slimline, Streamline and Sierra pens. As I only started doing craft fairs just before Christmas and only done two. Then as you know I stopped due to the cataracts. I bought a file recently which held 48 pens so that is full of pens either wood or layered wood....
So think I have a good selection. Was thinking of doing a fountain pen in Yew, possibly purple heart and one in acrylic...... also done two Jetstream in Purpleheart and Zebrano wood....
Will have to look at instructions for the Omega as I think a parts missing but have never done one before...........
So think I will have enough for the fair on Saturday.....

Have a look at the colored plywood blanks, they're different.
I just had a package delivered today, got a orange plywood blank and a red plywood one, plus some pippy yew ones.
Got them from Phil scarlett arts.
I done a blue and grey plywood slimline for a work colleague, came out really good, got some interest from other people for similar pens now.
So might be good to add to your craftfair selection.
