Always nice when kids show an interest in practical stuff.

I was asked to give a lesson to Angus (age 14), and his little sister Laura (11 last month).
Due to the weather and road closures the family walked over 3 miles to get here, rather than miss out.

They selected the blanks, and I did the drilling and gluing only. They did everything else themselves, including the squaring off, and the CA finish!

Both are Zeta's dressed in Olive.

Happy smiley faces all afternoon, good result all round I think.

Well done to Angus and Laura - these are brilliant pens, especially for first-timers like you two! Take them to school and show your teachers - they will agree with me!!!

They certainly are corkers for first time efforts and age also .. Wouldn't be a bad idea to get them back and make some for stock Neil .. :winking:

Brilliant pens mate take away any talk of first etc excellent pens I also feel one piece pens for learners are a great idea the grain on Lauras pen is very spiffy and special both Angus and Laura put in the hard yards to even arrive they must be thrilled mate. Indeed a happy way to face the day here I thank you Neil for sharing. What a special family experience.Reminded me of Aristotles words when you put in the hard yards you reap the rewards.
