Hello Joe, welcome to the house of fun, pen turning is a great hobby, it grabs you from the very start and refuses to let you go, and it will knock your bank balance for six.
But it's all worth it....

Hi Joe - welcome aboard. I detect that you haven't yet taken the plunge. If there's something you want to know or don't quite understand, please do feel free to ask. Everyone here had to start out from scratch at some time, and everyone is more than willing to share the knowledge and experience they've acquired.

I sincerely hope you do take it up, and that you enjoy the journey.

Hi Joe and Welcome to the Forum. Plenty of good advice available on here. Don't be afraid to ask about anything and remember that there is no such thing as a Daft Question but I can't vouch for all of the answers :winking:

Morning here Joe ,welcome to the hobby and the diverse forum mate. Establish early on what you would like to acheive ,look around where you live and try to find an organised Wood Group to allow you to browse and see and gain knowledge. IMHO one of the strongest ways to learn. All the best from Australia.

Peter.
