This is another Omega. A gold rollerball and I've dressed it in Thuya and finished in CA.
I have been blowing hot and cold with this pen. When I first saw the kit at York I liked it but when photos of the finished pen started appearing on the forum I sought of went off it as I wasn't sure of the finial and the pen holding section. However when I received this one off Dan I liked it again.
I don't know if this is standard gold or the upgrade version but I can't fault the plating at all. When turning this pen I just followed the natural contours of the pen but looking at other members photos where they have altered the shape of the barrels I think this pen has the versatility of the slimline where it can be altered as necessary !!!
The quality of the kit itself is superb and along with the Roman Harvest - Pristena and the Lucida I will put it on my "preferred list of pens" to stock !!!

Looking forward to when thay all become available so over to you Dan !!!!:thumbs::thumbs:

I'm looking forward to these coming available. Do you know what the internal diameter of the tubes are? I was thinking of getting a closed end mandrel from Vince and it says it'll hold 7 and 8mm tubes

I think you will find Vinny is talking external diameters of 7 and 8mm tubes, his mandrel will be to small.
These tubes re the same or similar size to the JNr gent and Baron pens at over 9mm.

Nice pen Terry I like the tapered shape of the pen having fondled mine until it got stolen.

That's what I was thinking Brian, thanks for confirming this. I'll have to try making my own
It is a nice pen Terry

If you send me the metal and pay postage I can turn it for you.

That's very kind of you Peter, what exactly would you need me to send you?

Maybe it's better to start a thread so we don't hi-jack Terry's thread. I would say go to PM, but others may want to make one or have an input so I think a new thread is probably better.

Mr Chairman Sir, I hesitate to say this but do I see some pin-holes in the finish up near the section? Tut tut ...

A gorgeous pen, Sir, and Dan better start shipping some soon or the townsfolk will start sharpening pitchforks and lighting tapers ...
