Very nice pen Robert - I always put the blanks in the sunlight after turning and before putting a finish on and the uv turns it a deep purple - Does anyone else use this method?

Heat brings out the colour too I've been told. I put a lot of heat into mine on the lathe and it turned from brown to purple.

I have been leaving it in the sunlight, but after I have finished it with CA.

Probably should have done this before the finish.

But it does seem to be going slightly more purple, slowly.
