I bought a 240v mirror ball motor which turns at a stately 2rpm, nice and slow. I use this to slowly turn fishing lures and stuff that have been coated with 2 part clear epoxy, this stops sags and runs. They look like a black ceiling rose, which I fit vertically to a wooden contraption.
I have need for another motor which turns faster, 6rpm for a similar job, painting.
The only 6rpm ones on ebay are 1.5V battery powered jobbies, a D cell. You can get mains AC ones in the states, but of course they are a different voltage.
If I buy a plug in the wall power adapter which can push out the required 1.5V, would this be suitable to use instead of the D cell? Or would the amperage be wrong?
