They said I needed to get out more! So I went out and brought this back

Found tonnes of this along local canal - it actually looks much better than the photo and it's free - but no idea what it is ? There is no tint applied to the photo.

No idea although if its been in the canal it might have fallen from a willow along the way somewhere. What are the trees adjacent to the canal?

I haven't got a clue what wood it is, but Pauls idea of Willow sound good :thumbs:
What I do want to know is where is this "kin ell" place? I've heard of "4 canal street" a lot but never found it :wink::funny:

If you want a better idea of what it is take a bandsaw and split a section along its length and then lets ave a look although I dont expect that youll get a certain id.

Its catching up with you I am over to much salvage stuff is just that mate enjoy your walks resist picking up bits of wood to throw for the dog to fetch as well recipe for unrest.
