I've dealt with FPR before in regards to pens, no issues there. The 'flexy' (really they're springy to semi-flex compared to proper vintage 14k wet noodles/full flex nibs) steel nibs are quite pleasent to use. The 1mm stub I have is pretty meh, a Lamy 1.1 is better as an example and the Bock/Jowo 1.1mm stubs used on TWSBI's etc are even better. I believe the nibs for FPR are maybe by Ambitious Nibs, I'm currently waiting on a group buy that appeared on FPN recently (http://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/topic/305932-group-buy-ambitious-nibs-round-2-year-2016/).
