Anybody turned Budleiah?

My outlaws trimmed their budleiah bushes on the weekend, and there are a couple of nice thickish trunk bits going begging. The trunk looks like woven rope, which might make for some interest in the timber itself. Anybody had any experience?

Chopped ours down when I first started turning, interesting shades of yellow in it, not a lot grain pattern.
Don't remember it being anything to write home about but hey yours may be different won't know till you try init?

No, I have not turned any, but now you say, there is a really nice established bush not far from us.,:whistling:
