I bought a set last time they had them on offer. Not bad drill bits for the price. Not as nice as these obviously but only 1/6 of the price. And the Rutlands set goes up to 13mm not just 10

the trouble is that 0.5mm is typically too big a step- you can guarantee that the size that you need will fall between 2 drills.

I have a cheap set of jobbers in 0.1 increments that I use to open out to the exact diameter once the initial hole has been drilled with a decent quality drill of the nearest size down.

Yes, me too but, like the lip and spur bits, they only come in 0.5mm or 1/64th inch increments so sometimes I still need to open out with a jobber to the exact diameter.
