Does anyone in uk know of any discounted lathes in the January sales ?

Desperate to get started but always love a bargain!!!

If you know the lathe you want and you are a cash buyer, call the manufacturer and ask them for their best deal, let them know its a choice between them or another manufacturer and see what deal they will give you, either discount price or included extras, you got nothing to loose

Good luck with your progress and choices Graham, be aware besides anxious if you can ,physically check out your prospective purchase. Price is not always a good guide.

Yep have looked on their website not many lathes reduced a couple of charnwood but out of stock.

Just waiting on a company in Middlesbrough to get back to me, see if they have any reductions!!

Kevin it's Middlesbrough Tool Centre, was chatting to him before Xmas and he's just sorting a few prices and hopefully they are going to start stocking pen turning bits n bobs?!

If not am popping over to Snainton for a snoop.

you could have a look when the next record power show is- you can normally get a show special price, including free delivery. There are several different events each year.

Google checked, as for special prices at shows etc I take that with a pinch of salt!!

Went to Festival of Thrift in Redcar last year and a certain well known company many recommend for machines had a "special price" for the show but check website and it was the same price ??!

Call me cynical but . . . .
