Steve, if you are going to drill your bushes then you have the axminster deluxe mandrel to help you, take the shaft out and get the correct size collets that will accept your bushes and fit the deluxe mandrel and at least it should be more accurate than doing it on a pillar drill. In fact I had forgotten about the deluxe mandrel also being a collet chuck, I could have made the closed end mandrels to fit in that instead, I will have to knock one up to try it out.
