A nice job. Grain lining up can sometimes be a problem depending on how the tree grew and twisted.

Nice job. Grain matching can be a problem with these things but a thin parting tool helps a lot.

Thanks for the comments . Grain alignment was an issue as the Ash had beautiful olive figuring and , even with a 1.5mm parting tool by the time you allow for the overlap of the lid it doesn’t totally follow through but it does have stunning stripes.
