Does anyone know if there is a kit for one of these style pens/pencils?

I have turned myself the usual pen with a rubber stylus for working on tablets.

Given the functions in the Apple Pencil I’m not sure there’s any point (pun intended) in making something with missing features? Can you even get tips that are like the Apple ones?

Apple Pencil - Apple (UK)

I don't mind if the "kit" didn't have all the functions, I'd just like to be able to write on the iPad.

I'm thinking that the charging, which appears to be by magnetic induction, might be problematic with brass barrels that we typically use.

So I suspect that there are no kits, and I'll have to buy one. It's just a bit annoying, as a pen maker, that I'm going to have to fork out anything between £30-over £100 for an ugly bit of plastic, when I know I could make a much better looking one.

Ho hum.

In the meantime, here's a pic of the slimline rubber stylus one I made :)

When I retired from my professional career, I promised myself that I would never again carry a laptop computer through an airport. So when I took on a retirement job that required that I maintain e-mail communications with a large number of people, I bought myself an iPod Touch - basically an iPhone without the telephone function. That worked fine, but my fat fingers didn't work well on the small screen/keyboard, so I made a stylus using a PSI kit (with a brass tube). That was a great combination.

Several years later, I upgraded to an iPhone, but I didn't migrate my stylus to that new technology. I just did a simple test - the stylus does work on the iPhone, but I can more quickly use my fingers. I also tested that stylus on my wife's iPad, and it also worked although with the larger screen, a stylus is not required.
