I wouldn't have posted this normally but had just started carving my handle when I saw Derek's knife and took a quick shot or two to perhaps encourage some more to make blades init?
This one is held together with gripfill and screws then shaped and ground, still WIP but good enuf for a workshop knife which was the original intention of it.

Another handy knife now all you need is a project. How about a walking stick or even a nice flower which I used as a practice piece.

Brian, not enough yet, i have been in Whitby since Saturday, and while there this was on my mind when i saw a kit to make your own knife on sale in a back street shop .. :bwink: The wood for the handle was a block just cut to length, nothing special here is the name .. Orvis, £29 it was .. :thumbs:
