It is a very good effort BH, how did you make the screw my friend .. :thinks:

Done it with a Tap for the Female and a Threadbox tool for the Male Thread I got about a couple of years ago I think!:whistling:

I would love to show you but i ain't that clever as a couple of years ago i had a brain bleed whatever they call it so there's a few dead cells now LOl well maybe more than a few But I class myself as lucky as I'm still above ground!

The one i got is 3/4" think i got it from Toolpost but was some time ago, Maybe the 1inch would be better for some things but I found mine fine It's best if you can to use Hardwood but it does work with other but you need to use plenty of CA on the Threads and let it dry so you can go over the threads a few times or they can crumble a bit/may be a prob with short grain wood! Would like to know more about your Xmas idea!
