As well as completing the earing stands I also managed to turn this bowl.

There was no way that I could get the markings on the outside to be on the top which was a shame

Your bowl is quite nice.

Here in the U.S. we are losing Ash trees by the tens of thousands to the Emerald Ash Bore. Is the UK losing trees as well?

Hello Terry

I am not aware of any problems with Ash. It is Elm that is becoming rare due to Dutch Elm disease although there does seem to be some around lately.
