Some of you may know Woody Turner, long time member of the forum.
Woody turns a lot of pens and auctions / sells them raising money for our Veterans Charities.
He does this on his facebook page. Lot's of turners send him kits, blanks etc to turn and use.

I decided that since I make the Watchparts pen I could make him something special.

Then I thought it needed a nice box, Eamonn (Silver) came through and now the photo's have been done and Woody is going to start the Auction off.

Pens for Veterans UK public group | Facebook

First a little bit about the pen for the Auction then the photos.

A Rhodium fountain pen. Made with stainless steel braid, with reclaimed watch parts.
The Time and Date has been set to 11 o’clock on the 11th.
The pen features a Stainless steel German Bock nib but comes with the components to convert to a rollerball.
It can use a Ink convertor or a universal cartridge and comes with the rollerball refill
The box is made from Romanian Walnut and engraved with a poppy and the words.
“The 11th Hour on the 11th Day, We will remember them”

A great gesture for a worthy cause - and it goes without saying that both the blank and the turning are first class. I hope it raises a good amount.
