I don't buy timber these days. This does mean I miss out on the experience of turning some types of wood.
I sent some recently discovered Pissards purple plum to Lignaterrae (David), and this is what I received in return.

Have fun Neil at the risk of repetition Neil David has beautiful timbers you are fortunate to have him no excuse for anyone saying wish I had this or that in the way of Aussie timber especially from your distance from the source. Unless the plum was side by side comparison is worthless from me.
