Sue and I went to Axminster's Warrington store today to watch a woodturning and sharpening display by Colwin Way.
I finally found out exactly how my sharpening jig works, what controls the angle of the grind and the wings etc.
Something not explained properly in the instructions that came with it :nonono:
Colwin turned a beautiful spalted beech bowl from start to finish in less than a hour
I wish I could do them that quick
Sue had bought some bits and pieces, mostly wood and pen blanks (why does it always cost me more when shes with me)
Anyway we were stood near the checkout when a woman turned to us and said "Hello". I'm thinking I know you. I've seen you before and I could see by Sues face she was thinking the same
Then I looked behind the lady and there was our glorious leader Jim. He and his wife had come over to get a replacement part for his bandsaw.
I'm still trying to work out how he got through passport control between Yorkshire and Lancashire
It was good to see you and your wife again Jim and hope you had a good trip home
