I had thought of doing a pen in bamboo, but then decided against it
When I saw your photo I thought ouch that is a bad split, then read the post and realised it was deliberate
I'm going to withhold judgement till I see the finished project

Paul what depth are the pieces of Ash and Oak? I can always use bowl blanks that are that diameter and 4 - 5" in depth
