Bank holiday outing

Spent the weekend in the middle of a field at a steam rally which myself and the wife attend. I took all of my woodturning and set it out.

I also acquired some bits and pieces, a second hand compressor which broke the bank and some measuring tools. The compressor only cost me £16 but could do with a new switch even though the one fitted does its job of turning the compressor on and off when it reaches pressure or drops below a certain pressure but you can not turn it on and off manually as it is on all the time.
The other pieces cost either £1 or £2 each.

If you want a woody day out then there is the Woodfest in September at Belmont House near Faversham. Depending on what day you go to it Mark (Flexi) may be seen wondering around that is if he is going this year

Love the bandit for £16 Derek. Good deal.

Not sure what the key ring measuring tools are, can't get in close/clear enough but look like thread gauges.

They are radius gauges in 1/64th increments each one has an internal and external radius. I am going to replace the switch on the compressor as the start-stop button is missing but that only comes to another £12.79 so still a bargain in my eye at a total of £28.79.

Looks like you had a great day Derek.
What are you going to use the sine bar for?

For measuring angles but I need some slip gauges I already have a surface plate all be it a small one. The bloke selling it did not know what it was but as soon as I saw it it was mine especially as it was so cheap and clean:wink:
