Thanks Woody for the blanks that you kindly sent to me .

I chose one of the Tiger Oaks to go on a Chrome Baron rollerball kit. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.

I've got a some figured brown Oak in for a job, seeing your pen I'm now hoping there will be some over for a couple of pens.

Just looking close up it looks as though the potable end has a very small gap between the fitting and the wood, (as if the barrel is not quite true and square) it may also be the picture that is casting a shadow on it as well.

Difficult to see unless you get to "touchy feely it" photos don't always give us the real picture..

Silver, you are spot on with your assessment. I have looked at it under magnification and it is ever so slightly out of square ,although the consequential shadow makes it stand out more . That's another thing to watch out for in future ! :thumbs:
