Before anyone gets pedantic, I would say check the measurements as they do vary from batch to batch and different models / manufacturers.

Baron tubes are that of the Sedona. They are *SMALLER* than the gent jr tubes.

No, let's be pedantic. Up until recently, Jr Gent kits were sold with tubes that were compatible with Baron tubes, requiring 13/32 ad 25/64 drills. Barons still are sold with those tubes. So if your Jr gent is more than three or four months old, it will take Baron Tubes and vice versa.

Jr gents recently went metric. I can't tell you off the top of my head what the drill size are now, but they are slightly fatter. Therefore if your Jr gent is less than three or four months old, the baron tubes may still fit if the supplier sold you old stock, but if it was new stock, no, they won't fit.

Now let's go back to the original question.

can I use baron tubes on a JR kit.

And the original answer.

I put it to you Milud that as the owner of said kit he can do what he pleases with it.
Indeed he can use slimline tubes for all I care, he may wish to use a slimline nib, clip, belt and hat and call it a Baron or Jnr Gent.
All these things are relative init dad?
He may want to have a bird in hand for a hapeh of tar and leap for a needle after looking in his haystack what the hell do I care, I know I have used them and may do again.

Depends on the manufacture. Th dayacom kits have not changed but the cheap Chinese knockoffs did.

I am of the measuring group anyway mixing and purchasing such a variety of kits comes with a large number of spacers, brasses, inks and bits and pieces I have a large box of these.

Sifting through the answers you will still have to measure not a biggie anyway. The family history of kits would open up this pandoras box.

The spring in the kits gives you a fudge factor. That means you have a min and max tube length to work with. As long as you are in those dimensions you are good to go.
