Bad experience with Blue 1 ply Hand Towel bought from sjone-online Ebay. When used with friction polish etc and also burnishing the blue come out of the paper into the wood. Had to sand down to get rid. The trouble now is that I have over 2000 of these towels and also a brand new dispenser. Any offers ???

I’ve used the blue paper towel in a roll with never a problem

Even that can do the same If you dip it into a small amount of thinners the liquid is discoloured to a very light blue as that is also the stuff I use. But have not had any problems with it transferring onto any work as it is so slight.

Thanks for the feed back. Perhaps you or someone can tell me what ply and colour do you use.

I used to use the blue that had a sort of thread in the middle, essential to heap of people. These days the table napkins or the like. I prefer material from the missus.

i went out to the shed and forgot to look at what ply mine is, will not be in there until Sunday now as I am at the woodturning club all day tomorrow. But it is blue and as i said what little it does bleed out does not effect any of the finished or anything else.

Similar experience. The roll is now stored in the truck. Great for checking the oil dipstick and for getting chocolate ice cream out of my beard when I hit a bump in the road. (The "blue loo" suggestion might be a better use, and it does have a certain ring to it for marketing.)
