Great bowl/box I like the idea of putting a lid on it well done.

Go on let them keep trying to work it out that is all the fun:face::face::funny::funny::funny::funny::funny::funny:

Seriously I am sure some would like to see how it is done, I know how I would do it but it is always great to see how others approach it:wink:

First I flattened the middle of the bark side to take my screw chuck and mounted it to turn the underside and chucking recess
DSCF2826.JPGDSCF2828.JPG
Then remove waste wood to create the top working down the both sides of the wings and the box then removed the inside of the box
DSCF2829.JPGDSCF2830.JPG
Now for the lid drill right the way through and mount it on the screw chuck to turn the underside and finish
DSCF2831.JPG
Now remount the boat, box and fit the lid and bring up the tailstock and create the outside of the lid and finish

Then make and fix the finial or knob job done now its your turn LOL happy turning
