Beech tealight holder

A friend gave me some small Beech logs to turn - imagine my surprise when this was revealed inside one of them. 6.5cm tall x 9cm wide and finished with carnauba wax.

Amazing what can be found in an old log if one looks hard enough, and of course,if one has the skills to reveal it. Well done.:thumbs::thumbs:

Good result Steve. I'm very picky about what i throw on the fire these days - drives my wife mad.

Thanks Phil! I really like the shape... going to try and replicate it in other sizes and woods..

Managed to get into the shed last night and actually turn a pen!
