Not sure about that one Steven, but the idea is right.. Top marks for effort..

The nib end looks a little over turned as well, just a little bit..

I don't think your turning is at fault,looks like your mandrel is bent..the picture above,the blank is offset on the left but perfectly aligned on the right :nooidea:

I would go back to basics and add one feature at a time,perhaps a parallel slimline with the aluminum inlay?

As you say a few flaws but Rome wasn't built in a day keep at it you will I'm sure get there in the end

Yeah, keep trying Steve but make sure you've got the basics too. I think you've gone a bit thin a the nib end, are your bushes the right size?

Bushe's 7mm for the slimline kit"s.The timber disappeared real fast while sanding .lol
Ill also change my Mandrel out to the new one i have .
I did put new bus he's on Mandrel last week .the old one's got wobbly.

Steve, all criticisms aside that is one lovely looking pen. The clip end is somewhat too anorexic for my taste (heck, the standard slimline is too anorexic for my taste, undercutting it is just asking for trouble!) but I am deeply impressed by your original interpretations of the slimline. Keep it up!

The concept is good Dave. Keep at it and you'll get some excellent results !!!!
