Hi guys,
Just wondering as to which pen kit you would recommend for a beginner?
I have made a slimline pen because that is what was supplied with the deluxe pen turning kit that I purchased.
The first pen I made was in wood, but I am keen to have a go with acrylic.
With this in mind, please could you advise me as to what you think is the best kit and the best place to buy them from.
Thank you in anticipation.
Paul.

Hi Paul and Welcome to the Forum . I would try some of Dans Zetas or Sierras I personally think these are the easiest to do.

As far as the turning is concerned they are all easy, the skill required to turn the blank is the same whatever kit you use.

Some are more complicated to put together than others but none of it is rocket science.

Damn, I've just signed up for a course at NASA :duh:

I have to agree with Walter if you have turned a slimline you can turn any pen just go for the one you fancy the most as Walter said some are a bit more difficult to assemble than others but you dont need a degree for any of them if my 9 year old grandson can do it do I need to say more
