You can't blame the Vikings for Dagenham "ham" is an Anglo-Saxon word, it's all their fault. They wouldn't hand over their goodies, so the Vikings took them

Apparently it was named after a King Dakar well I think that was his name its been a long time since I was at school LOL mind it has changed since I grew up there it was all fields and farms
